Carnoustie High School

To create a safe environment
where everyone is respected and included,
with opportunities for all to achieve their personal best.
Respect, Resilience, Responsibility

Welcome Welcome

Head Teacher's welcome

I am pleased to welcome you to the Carnoustie High School website and hope that you find it informative.

Our school vision is to create a safe environment where everyone is respected and included, with opportunities for all to achieve their personal best. These are not just words on a page, but are the driving force behind the decisions we make as a school.

For our vision to become reality we must always aim high and work hard. This is where our school values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility have an important role to play, as we all work together to ensure the best for and from all members of our school community.

As a school, we are proud that UNICEF UK has granted us Silver: Rights Aware status as part of the Rights Respecting Schools programme. This means that we are explicitly embedding the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in our policy, practice and culture. We are now working towards achieving Gold: Rights Respecting status.

Our curriculum, driven by our vision and values, has personalisation, choice and challenge at its heart. We aim to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring all of our young people are equipped with the knowledge and skills that will lead them to a positive destination.

This website is designed to share some essential information about our school and to answer any questions you may have. However, I am more than happy for parents and carers to contact me directly with any questions about Carnoustie High School.

We also use Twitter and the school app to provide you with information about what has been happening within the school and to publicise forthcoming events. You can download the school app from your App store – search for “School App for Parents” and then select Carnoustie High School when you open the app.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with the school by phone or via email if you have a question or concern about your child and their education.
