Welcome message

At Carnoustie High School learning is the heart of all we do and we provide a challenging, supportive and nurturing school experience. The contributions of all members of our school community are valued and everyone is treated with kindness, dignity and respect. Individuals are supported to develop the personal attributes such as self- confidence and independence and the interpersonal skills required to accept increasing responsibility for their actions and respect the rights of others. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all our learners and, working with partners, we offer pathways that build on our young people’s enthusiasm and interests as well as fostering positive relationships with parents and carers so our young people can achieve their full potential at Carnoustie High School.

Within ASN we have 3 discrete areas that allow our young people to have a learning environment that is conducive to their learning and allows the team to best support the individual needs of the young people. We have a learning area for young people with more significant multiple and complex needs a junior phase learning area and a senior phase learning area. The ASN team support the learning for our young people within the ASN department and support pupils and staff within the mainstream learning environment.
